About us
Kitchen renovations are exciting—but living without a kitchen isn't.
My name is Ryan O'Donohue, founder of Compact Kitchen Company. With over 17 years of experience in the construction industry, I've worked on everything from residential renovations to large commercial and municipal projects.
Throughout my career, I've seen firsthand how disruptive a kitchen renovation can be for homeowners. While contractors focus on building a beautiful new kitchen, families are often left figuring out where to prepare meals, wash dishes, and maintain their daily routines.
I knew there had to be a better way.
That's what inspired me to create Compact Kitchen Company.
Drawing on my construction experience, I developed a compact, self-contained temporary kitchen that gives homeowners a practical way to keep cooking and cleaning while their permanent kitchen is under construction.
Our kitchens are thoughtfully designed with a working sink, electric cooktop, fresh and wastewater tanks, countertop space, storage, and built-in safety features. We handle delivery, setup, and pickup, making the process as simple as possible.
Today, Compact Kitchen Company proudly serves homeowners, contractors, and kitchen design professionals throughout Rockland, Westchester, Bergen, and surrounding counties.
As a locally owned and operated business, my goal is simple: provide a dependable, professional service that makes the renovation experience a little easier for everyone involved.
I believe homeowners shouldn't have to put their lives on hold just because they're improving their homes.

Someone in our family has asthma, so keeping the dust controlled was really important for us.
